Super Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan cut a wide swath of death and destruction in the Philippines.
The internatonal aid effort has focused on the areas surrounding Tacloban city, which were hardest hit by the tidal surge. Yet there are many distressed areas in dire need of aid being left out.

JDR Mission Partners, Inc.is a humanitarian mission based in Naval, the capital town of Biliran Province in Eastern Visayas, Philippines. We are about 100 kilometers (2 hours drive) West from Tacloban city and we were in the direct path of the deadly storm. 20,000 of our people are homeless and turning hungry due to super typhoon Yolanda. The typical housing of the very poor was obliterated all along the path of the typhoon, as well as rice and other crops that the poor depend on for subsistence.

We have 20 young mission workers and can organize more volunteers. It is our hope and prayer we can raise funds to conduct relief operations in our area and other places that are more affected. We intend to take part in the rehabilitation and reconstruction effort of damaged houses, livelihood, nutrition and education for the poor children.
